The work we will do together is truly an investment in yourself. It has the potential to effect positive change in your life and those around you. Providing a customized approach that is most beneficial to you is my greatest desire because I’ve learned along the way most people have their own unique story. Insurance has the potential to limit what I can do to help you. It can leave us both with little choice.
Therefore, I do not accept insurance. Payment is made at the time of visit. If you have out of network coverage, I am happy to provide a superbill which you submit to the insurance company. A superbill is a receipt with diagnosis codes and CPT codes. Because every insurance plan is different, I cannot promise how much if any coverage will be provided. If you are unsure, I encourage you to contact your member services line for assistance.
Additionally, not taking insurance allows me to fully devote my time and attention to you. There is no other staff - all communications and visits are directly with me.
Payment can be made with credit card, HSA/FSA, and Venmo. All clients need to maintain a credit care on file.
I do require a 48 hour notice to cancel or change appointments. If the request is outside the 48 hr window, a full appointment fee is charged. This ensures repect of both our times and also the other clients time.
If you are acutely ill but still wish to keep the visit, a telemedicine option may be possible.
I understand life happens! If you are going to be late please call ahead so we can discuss if the appointment should proceed understanding the visit may be truncated or if a reschedule makes sense for your needs. I will allow one call ahead late notification to occur/year without charge.
If you are greater than 10 minutes late with no call ahead, the full visit will be charged and a reschedule offered.
I do not have admitting privileges to any hospitals. Today, most hospitals have adopted a model where a specialist called a Hospitalist is in charge of your care. After hours care is provided by Urgent Care Clinics and Emergency Departments.
While my primary medical board is in pediatrics, my additional trainings and current practice involve a spectrum of ages, including adults. I will readily see clients 16 years and older. If your child is less than 16, please contact me to further discuss.
I am currently also employed at Dell Children’s Medical Center where I specifically practice Palliative Medicine and Hospice Medicine.
While palliative care informs my practice of medicine, I do not practice palliative care outside of Dell Children’s Medical Center. Palliative care is defined as having a disease condition that is life threatening with the potential for a shorter than expected life span.
Hospice care is defined by Medicare as having an expected life span prognosis of 6 months or less to live. If you feel your child qualifies for either specialty, please contact me, and I can give you referral information to Dell Children’s Pediatric Palliative Team.
Package offerings are a set number of visits purchased up front with a built in discount. Additionally, they include increased services and access to working with me. This may or may not interest you. Due to the packages being paid in full at time of purchase, a superbill cannot be utilized.
Additionally, non-medical services such as yoga are typically not reimbursed by health insurance so package purchase may financially make more sense.
Sometimes it’s not possible to come in for a clinic visit so I am able to discuss your care and give recommendations and changes to treatment plans on the telephone. It is still a visit with medical decision.
Additionally, telephone calls will be scheduled to ensure my full attention is on your needs. A superbill can also be provided for telephone “visits.”
Certainly everyone is different and should have choice in their care. Please fill out the contact form to schedule a complementary 30 minute informational to further explore and ask questions.
